About Skin Tightening
Laser Skin Tightening uses leading laser technology to heat the skin surface to 41 degrees – 65 degrees underneath the skin in the epidermis/dermis layer to promote collagen production. The heat will then metabolise unhealthy fibres and cells causing stimulation to the fibroblast cells (these produce collagen and elastin fibres).
This process works to smooth fine lines, wrinkles and improve the overall texture of the skin. Laser Skin Tightening can be used in any area where there is a loss of collagen.
The procedure is quick and comfortable, with minimal downtime.
Frequently Asked Questions
For optimum results, we recommend a minimum of 4-6 treatments done at monthly intervals. Maintenance treatments are recommended to upkeep results. Our experienced team of Skin Therapists will tailor a treatment plan to deliver on your skin goals.
We will require medical clearance for pregnant and breastfeeding individuals prior to proceeding with the treatment.
There is no downtime with this treatment. You may experience some redness and swelling on the treated area, but this completely normal and usually subsides within 3-5 days. You may continue to have a warm sensation on the treated areas for 24-48 hours after your treatment. We advise you to follow the correct aftercare directions as provided by your Skin Therapist.
Unfortunately, topical numbing creams are not safe nor effective when doing Laser Hair Removal. The sensation you feel in treatment is not felt on the skin, but in the follicle of the hair. Unfortunately numbing cream cannot penetrate deep enough to minimise the discomfort that may be felt at the follicle. Please ensure that no occlusive creams are present in the treatment areas when undergoing laser hair removal treatments.
