Sapphire Skin and GP Clinic is a General Practice serving the people of Bega Valley and Far South Coast region.
Our primary focus is to provide quality medical care to individuals and families. The doctors will focus on you and your family’s individual medical needs and provide guidance around any medical concerns that you may have.
For each individual, we strive to know, support and care for your long-term wellbeing.
From the moment you are greeted at the front desk by our friendly reception team to being seen by one of our professional approachable general practitioners and practice nurse, we strive to make your experience a caring one.

You can book an appointment to see our doctors or nurse by calling our friendly reception staff on 02 7500 5858. Alternatively, you can book securely through our HotDoc profile HERE.
If you are a new patient and are booking your first consultation at the practice, please book a 30-minute appointment so the doctor has adequate time to go through your health history.
At Sapphire Skin & GP, we accommodate telephone consultations for our long-term and frequent patients for things like regular scripts or non-urgent test results.
In light of COVID-19 and other respiratory infections, we may also provide telephone consultations for such matters.
Your appointment will be billed based on the consultation length and type of consultation. Some consultations incur a facility fee if you have any laser or surgical procedures with us. Please see our “Billing” tab for more information.
We are a mixed billing practice - your billing type is up to the discretion of the doctors and is dependent on your consultation type. If you are billed privately, we will process your Medicare rebate at the end of your visit.
The following patients are bulk billed at our practice:
- Children under the age of 16
- Mental Health consultations
- GP Care Plan
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients (under the CTG program)
- Some pension card holders
Our consultation billings are as follows (Before rebate)

All of our Excisions and Minor Surgeries incur a private facility fee of $120.00.
All of our Women’s Health procedures, except cervical screening, incur a private facility fee of $80.00.
Sapphire Skin & GP does not provide after-hours services.
If you are in a medical emergency, please call 000.
If you need immediate health advice, please call NURSE-ON-CALL on 1300 60 60 24.
If you need medical assistance, please attend the local hospital nearest your residence.
Our doctors may choose to provide home visits on a case-to-case basis, for example, to our regular patients or for palliative care.
At Sapphire Skin & GP, we use electronic methods to communicate with our patients regarding their appointments, reminders, and recalls for results.
This includes SMS and sometimes email if the patient cannot be reached by SMS, call, or posted mail.
If you call Sapphire Skin & GP and our receptionists are busy attending to other patients or tasks, your call will be put in a queue for the next available staff to answer as soon as possible. We urge all urgent and medical emergencies to hang up and call 000.
If we miss your call, our phone system will log your contact information and notify us of the missed call, and we will return your call when possible.
We obtain your consent for electronic communication in our “New Patient Information” form when you register at this practice. You may at any time opt in or out of our SMS/electronic reminder system by advising our reception staff.

While emails are reviewed daily, we kindly advise that we may take up to 2 days to respond to your query. For any urgent queries, we recommend calling our clinic at (02 7500 5858) for immediate attention.
We do not disclose any sensitive patient information to the patient unless a written consent for the release of requested information has been signed by the patient and reviewed by the GP.

We suggest making an appointment as we cannot guarantee that you’ll be able to see the doctor without one. This is because we prioritize those with appointments over walk-ins. Please give us a call to see if we can offer you a same-day appointment.
If your matter is urgent, be sure to mention it to the receptionist, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Children who are feeling unwell are always prioritized for same-day appointments and walk-ins.
